MEET, is the vehicle concept for tomorrow´s urban mobility. The combination of different energy-saving technologies leads to greatly improved efficiency, thereby increasing one of the most important factors - the cruising range of the vehicle. Comfort also plays a major role in all of the technology. With a newly developed, intuitive operating concept and an innovative solution for going the extra mile, from the parking lot to the destination.
Jury statement: By reducing the elements of this innovative vehicle to the bare essentials, the designers have created an intelligent mobility solution for urban environments. A meticulously planned mobility concept that even features a proposed solution for monowheels as a last-mile modality.
Company
Scala Design as a Company for technical product development was founded in 1986 by Werner Gräfensteiner, Heiko Tegeder and Peter Theiss. All three are active in the company as managing directors. In the four departments Design-concept, CAD-construction (using Catia, Pro/Engineer, Solid Works, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 5,Siemens NX), Prototype- and Model making, as well as small series production, products are developed in tight communication with the clients from first sketches over functioning prototypes up to Series Production.
Transportation Design
Scala Design is active in the fields of exterior and interior for both Transportation and Automotive Design. We create designs not only for passenger vehicles and utility vehicles but also for rail vehicles and passenger ships. Industrial Design
Together with the design of investment goods Scala Design has established a strong competence in the development of power tools and equiptment. Our long-standing client in the field of laser based measuring and positioning devices is the world market leader.
Manufacture
Scala Design possesses a technically good equipped design and model making facility. Hand made models are supported by NC-technology and Rapid Prototyping. These facilities create the basis for our manufacturing and small series production.
